Accommodations
One & Only Mandarina
Please email reservations@oneandonlymandarina.com and reference the Park/Huang Wedding to book under our block. Rooms must be booked prior to February 1st to take advantage of the room block rate. Please note: the room block rate is only available the nights of the wedding (April 17th and 18th).
For our wedding, all guests are required to stay on site as we’re a very intimate group in a more remote location. Please book your room prior to February 1st to take advantage of the room block rate. If you need any assistance, please contact guest@slater-events.com to help book your room.
If you would like to spend more time in the area before or after the wedding, we recommend checking out Punta Mita, Sayulita, or Puerto Vallarta.
Getting to Mandarina
Flights
The One & Only Mandarina is located in Riviera Nayarit, Mexico, just north of Sayulita and Punta Mita, and is about an hour's drive from Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR). The well-connected Puerto Vallarta International Airport offers direct flights from a host of U.S., Mexican, and Canadian cities. We recommend flying into PVR and planning transportation via shuttle or car to the One and Only Mandarina.
Transportation
We recommend booking a private car or shuttle to get to and from the airport. Guests can arrange this through the One & Only or with an external transportation company.
Other options include renting a car or taking an Uber. Ubers are generally available when heading TO the hotel (not from the hotel) from the airport. Ubers aren’t available directly at the airport, you will have to follow the instructions listed below. If you’d like to expedite the drive, request the toll route. It is 200 pesos in cash (they don’t accept USD).
For your return to the airport, Ubers are generally unavailable due to availability of drivers in the area. We strongly recommend booking a private transfer in advance (either through the One & Only or another provider), or using a rental car if you’ve arranged one for your stay.
Once you arrive at the One & Only, no additional transportation is needed for any of the wedding events as everything will be onsite.
Airport Pickup – Taking an Uber from Puerto Vallarta (PVR)
If you plan to take an Uber from the airport, here’s exactly what to do:
1. Go through immigration and customs as usual.
2. Exit through the sliding glass doors into the main arrivals area. You’ll likely be approached by a lot of people offering taxis or “transportation help”—just ignore them and keep walking straight.
3. Once you’re fully outside, turn left and walk along the sidewalk that runs alongside the airport terminal. You’ll pass the official taxi stands—ignore them too.
4. Continue walking until you reach a pedestrian bridge that crosses over the main road.
5. Cross the bridge. Once you’re off the bridge on the other side, look for a “La Turbina” sign—that’s a good landmark.
6. Wait there for your Uber driver. They’ll usually confirm the exact pickup spot via the app or WhatsApp, but this “La Turbina” area is the most common and hassle-free place for pickup.
💡 Note: Technically, Uber pickups are not allowed inside the airport zone, which is why drivers ask you to cross the bridge first. Some people have gotten picked up right by the bus stop near the bridge entrance, but that’s considered an illegal pickup spot—so it’s best to cross fully to avoid issues.
